Morning Routine

Morning Routine

In my blog Intentions & Goals  I talked about my goal to follow a morning routine. The year is coming to an end, but I thought I would share my fall morning routine with you guys.


First thing every morning when my alarm goes off, I get out of bed and go to the bathroom. I then get back into bed with a big bowl of cereal or oatmeal. I usually watch a little Netflix while eating breakfast ( I am currently watching Gilmore Girls). If I don’t feel like watching Netflix, I will watch a short video on YouTube.

I don’t really enjoy mornings so I give myself plenty of time to lay in bed & wake up for the day.

After eating, I will get dressed for the day & do my hair and makeup.

If I give myself enough time before my classes start I will read a chapter of my devotional. Trey & I are doing a couples devotional & I am reading “The Lies Young Women Believe” as well as reading my Bible.

I will then brush my teeth, and take my vitamins.

My goal is to wake up earlier and earlier every morning, because I have gotten into a habit of getting out of bed at the last minute & then I have to rush through my morning. A big part of waking up earlier, is going to bed sooner, which is something I know I will struggle with!

When I give myself more time in the mornings, I feel better about my day. I will usually make myself a cup of tea or coffee, and I am able to enjoy a little solitude before my day begins.

I also like to make my bed & tidy my room before I rush out the door.
