Things I’ve Been Loving
Things I’ve Been Loving & Really Professional Internet Person (Book Review)
A ton of people (book bloggers and youtube creators mostly) have been raving about having an audiobook playing during their morning routine. I never thought I would get on the audio book ban wagon, but guess what? I did. I have been loving listening to audiobooks while I go through my morning routine. (I will posting an updated morning routine in the next few weeks).
My public library has a pretty large selection of e-audiobooks that they loan out for a certain amount of days. Listening to audiobooks while I get ready in the morning makes me feel so productive. If you have been following along with my recent blog posts, I have been posting A TON of book reviews. Its my last semester at Ohio University and I have quite a lot on my plate at the moment, and as most everyone knows, reading takes time, writing reviews take time, and blogging in general takes time. Audiobooks are perfect because you don’t have to sit down and read a book and devote time to solely reading.
I wish I had started listening to audiobooks sooner in my undergrad!
Other things I have been loving:
Little Secrets Candy:
This candy is so good! I had the chocolate raspberry candies and I ate them so fast!
Reading my Bible in the morning:
Another thing that I have been trying to make a steady habit is reading my Bible in the morning. When I start my morning with my focus on God, my mood during the day seems to be so much better.
I have been loving reading recently. Listening to audiobooks and reading are my two current self indulgences.
Really Professional Internet Person: Book Review
TITLE: Really Professional Internet Person
Author: Jenn McAllister
Release Date: August 25, 2015
4 out of 5 stars
If you didn’t read the top of this post, I listened to this book as an audiobook. I’m still getting used to reviewing audiobooks, which is why this is a shorter review.
I love that Jenn McCallister is the one who reads her book. Listening to this book was like listening to Jenn sit down and tell me a story.
This book is super honest and I really enjoyed hearing some of her stories, even the bad ones because Jenn talks about how they helped her grow into who she is today.
I love the advice and the life lessons that are scattered throughout the book, and I love that each chapter ends with a list of ten things that are relevant to the previous chapter.
If you are an aspiring Youtuber, this book is a must read!
Jenn McAllister, better known as JennxPenn, has been obsessed with making videos since she found her parents video camera at the age of eight. A shy child, Jenn turned to film because, unlike life, there can always be a do-over.
Really Professional Internet Person offers both an insider’s guide to building a successful YouTube channel and an intimate portrait of the surreality of insta-fame and the harsh reality of high school.
Brimming with honesty, heart and Jenn’s patented sense of humor, Really Professional Internet Person features top ten lists, photos, screenshots, social media posts and never-before-posted stories chronicling Jenn’s journey from an anxious middle-schooler just trying to fit in, to a YouTube sensation unafraid to stand out.
Thanks so much for stopping by and reading this blog post!!
