Autumn Morning Routine

Blogtober Day 10

Today I am going to share with you what my morning routine has looked like recently.

Side note – my mornings never have a stack up pancakes as epic as the one above, but I wish ALL mornings were that satisfying. 🙂

Recently this is what my weekday morning looks like:

My first alarm goes off at 6:35, and I usually lay in bed until 6:45.

The very first thing I do in the mornings is to drink some water – to re-hydrate from the night’s sleep.

Next step is breakfast! I usually have cereal or maybe sometimes a bagel.

While I am eating breakfast, I will generally snuggle up on the couch and watch some TV to start off my day. (I know this is the best habit, but I’m usually more awake after I’ve eaten some food!)Image result for netflix

What is one TV show that you have been loving recently? 

After eating – I will pack my lunch for work. I generally will cut up an apple, and a banana, and a protein bar. I have been trying to eat less carbs and more protein – because in the past a high protein diet has helped my weight loss generally considerably.

Next – I will do a few dishes and then I will head to my bedroom to get ready for the day.

I really enjoy making the bed – but I haven’t been the best at making this happen each day. I always feel so much better coming home from work and seeing the bed made.

I will brush my teeth, wash my face, change out of my PJ’s and into whatever I am wearing to work for the day. Sometimes I will lay out my workout clothes for after work – to give me a little more motivation to actually do my workout.

The next step of the morning is brewing my coffee! This is one of my favorite parts of the morning. I have this cute little coffee bar in my house – which I may be sharing a post about in the future – once it’s more finished! I usually switch between french press coffee and using my Nespresso. Some mornings I will just heat up water & brew tea (I do this when I am feeling a little bloated and when I do my no-sugar days).

The final step of my morning routine is re-filling my water & gathering everything I need for work – and then I’m off to work for the day!
