Down the TBR | Conquer Your TBR #2

Down the TBR | Conquer Your TBR #2

In October I shared my the first edition of Down the TBR – Conquer Your TBR post, and since then I have only acquired MORE books on to my Goodreads to read list.

For those of you who don’t know, TBR in the book world stands for To Be Read or in other words books that you want to read!

I currently have 312 books on my Goodreads To Read Shelf.  Which is more than 45 books more than the last time I did a post like this. Read it here: Down the TBR | Conquer Your TBR #1.

Without further ado:

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

–Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.

–Order on ascending date added.

–Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books

–Read the synopses of the books

–Decide: keep it or should it go?

The last time I did a post like this I kept the first three books that you see on my Goodreads To Read Shelf, which are Clockwork Prince, The Gender Game and Steel:

10025305311314678220745

This time I will be going through the next SIX books on my Goodreads To Read Shelf.

1 . The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns #1)

by Rae Carson

10429092

Listed as a young adult fantasy, this one still sounds intriguing!

Here is the synopsis from Goodreads:

Once a century, one person is chosen for greatness.
Elisa is the chosen one.

But she is also the younger of two princesses, the one who has never done anything remarkable. She can’t see how she ever will.

Now, on her sixteenth birthday, she has become the secret wife of a handsome and worldly king—a king whose country is in turmoil. A king who needs the chosen one, not a failure of a princess.

And he’s not the only one who seeks her. Savage enemies seething with dark magic are hunting her. A daring, determined revolutionary thinks she could be his people’s savior. And he looks at her in a way that no man has ever looked at her before. Soon it is not just her life, but her very heart that is at stake.

Elisa could be everything to those who need her most. If the prophecy is fulfilled. If she finds the power deep within herself. If she doesn’t die young.

Most of the chosen do.

Although it has a relatively low rating on Goodreads I think I am going keep this one for now!

The judgement:

KEEP!

2. The Burning Sky (The Elemental Trilogy #1)

17332556
I honestly don’t know a lot about this book and I wasn’t really feeling the synopsis.
Judgement:

GO!

3. Legacy (Legacy #1)

by Cayla Kluver

10072160

This book is relatively old from 2011 but the synopsis sounds like something I probably enjoy?

Judgement:

KEEP!

4. Fallen (Fallen #1)

6487308
Read through the synopsis..

Judgement:

GO!

5. False Memory (False Memory #1)

by Dan Krokos

10194494

Another one that would probably be good, but will probably never get to.

Judgement:

GO!

6. The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds #1)

10576365

I own a physical copy of this book and now has a movie adaptation.

Judgement:

KEEP!

I chose to keep 3 of 6! So I gt rid of three books on my TBR! That is a small but good step in the right direction!

Did I make the wrong decision, should I have kept any of these books on my TBR?? Let me know if you have read these and books and loved them, in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading! I hope you all have the most amazing Monday!

xoxo

  • I’m glad you kept Girl of Fire and Thorns! It’s a bit underrated but SO GOOD and I really want to finish reading the trilogy!! I never read Fallen either but don’t think I ever will haha so it definitely got ditched from my Goodreads list a while back.
