12 Days of Christmas (Day 5)
Today in the peaceful morning, it is the calm before the storm. Yesterday was the kids last day of school, and now they are officially on Christmas Break.
Christmas cheer is finally in the air with the hustle and bustle of Christmas plans.
Recently, I have been treasuring my time in the morning with my mom.
It is such a nice time to wake up slowly without the stress of school assignments and work in the back of my mind.
I am able to ease into my morning with a light breakfast and a cup of coffee. I have plenty of time to read my Bible. I spend time writing a blog, journaling or just writing in general, which is really relaxing to me. As you know, I am currently in the midst of a blog series, the twelve days of Christmas. For those of you who don’t know, I am also writing a novel and I made it a goal of mine to get to 50,000 words by the end of the year. I have quite a ways to go still, but I have been loving the journey.
Now that Christmas Break is finally here for the kids, the quiet mornings will be gone and I will have less time to write. My family spends the time together by playing board game after board game, doing a puzzle, watching Christmas movies and baking all the possible Christmas goodies.
P.S Stay tuned for the next blog in my series: 12 Days of Christmas
