If We Were Having Coffee| February 2019

And Wedding Chat!

Today I’m back with another If We Were Having Coffee Post. I have seen a lot of cute variations of this post, like ‘if we were having tea and cake’ or ‘if we were having a hot beverage’, but I still prefer the original, If We Were Having Coffee, so let’s get to it!

Grab a hot beverage of your choice (or a cold one!), today I went for a normal brew of coffee and added some cream and a litttttttle but of sugar.

If we were having coffee.. I would tell you that I am SO READY for the cold to go away. I am excited for Spring and the beauty of new life and fresh flowers. I am ready for rainy days to curl up with a book that turn into warmer days where I can spend the majority of my time outdoors (when I’m not at work).

If we were having coffee.. I would tell you that I get married to the love of my life and my best friend in 150 days (and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED).

Woah, that was good to get off my chest 😉 . We have most of the big stuff planned, we have booked our caterer, we have ordered our cake and cupcakes, we’ve booked our photographers and videographer and we’ve booked our venue.

I’ve bought my dress and we’ve decided on a color for the bridesmaids dresses. The only big things we have left to do: finalize our flowers which we are thinking about taking a DIY approach, we still need to find a church closer to the reception venue since our church is too small and a 25 minute drive to the venue.

We still need to book our honeymoon, decide on the groomsmen outfits, design the invitations and a bunch of other small things, but so far we’ve got a great start on all the planning.

*If you would like more posts about wedding planning and such, please let me know and I will incorporate that into the schedule as we get closer to the big day!

If we were having coffee.. I would tell you that I have done a great job of working out and running every week. (I haven’t gone on a run the past two days because its been so stinking cold). I can’t wait until the weather warms up just a little so I can run more often! I hate getting all bundled up to run! So far this month I have ran over 4 miles and I’m starting to really enjoy it again, and it is really helping me lose weight! I have also done a great job of drinking lots and lots of water! Don’t drink your calories people!

If we were having coffee.. I would tell you that Trey and I are still house searching and Trey is still job hunting. These are two major things that need to happen before the wedding, and I have been spending a lot of time in prayer over them. I know that these two things have the potential to cause a lot of stress and worry, but for the time being I am trying to stay optimistic and trust in God.

Most days I still can’t even believe that I am engaged and it is still like a far away daydream. The planning process has gone so well that it’s almost too good to be true. And everyone tells me that their husband/fiance doesn’t want in part of the planning, but Trey has been matching me stride for stride in making decisions and making phone calls and sending emails. I am so grateful for him.

If we were having coffee.. I would ask you how life is?

Have you been achieving your goals? If not, what’s holding you back? What will it take for you to get there?

If we were having coffee.. I would ask you if you’ve read any good books recently? Watched any good TV shows? Recently, Trey and I re-subscribed to Netflix and honestly, it’s been taking so much time away from reading, but I’m not even that sad about it! What shows or movies on Netflix would you recommend?

Are you excited about Captain Marvel being released this week? Trey and I are going to see it on Friday!
