If We Were Having Coffee {May 2019}

Happy Wednesday friends! I’m back today with an exciting post, because these posts are my favorite and I love sharing little aspects of my life with you! Let’s get to it, shall we?

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I’ve been trying not to drink so much coffee, because of the amount of sugar I enjoy with my coffee. I have been swapping coffee for green tea with mint lately, and it’s starting to grow on me, although I do believe that coffee will always be my favorite beverage. (Specifically espresso!)

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that we got our engagement pictures back and I absolutely LOVE them! If you want to see them, follow me over on Instagram @sarahjune_xoxo, because I will be sharing LOADS of them! If we were having coffee… I might tell you that I don’t normally post pictures of myself on my Instagram, because over the past few years, I have fallen out of love with myself.

In college I broke my ankle, and gained a LOT of weight. Because of this I hated the way I looked in photos. BUT I am on a fitness journey back to loving myself. I’m over twenty pounds down from my heaviest weight and this is just the beginning.

Here is one of the photos of just me:

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that this week I have been doing a great job of staying away from sugar. I ran over THREE miles on Saturday and it felt GOOD. I am starting to fall in love with my fitness journey, eating healthy & working out.

As I progress, and lose more weight I definitely plan on opening up and sharing more about my fitness journey in my Motivation Monday series.

Speaking of…

If we were having coffee… I would ask if you heard about my new Motivation Monday series that I started on my blog?!The first post of the series was Motivation Monday | May Goals, where I talked about the goals that I have for myself as well as some tips and tricks to follow through with the goals that you make!Next Monday I will be sharing about my morning routine! I am excited to see where this new series goes!

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that we are getting into the thick of wedding planning. All that we have left are the details, but those are often the most important parts. We are still trying to remain within our budget, and sometimes that means letting little things slide. I also have to remind myself that I don’t need to buy gifts for every single person that helps, because that would be ridiculous.
If we were having coffee… I would ask you to stop for a moment and reflect on your life. Are you happy? Truly happy? If the answer is no, what is standing in the way of your happiness?

I would ask you how life is, and I would probably ask you to go eat an ice cream cone for me, because this weather deserves to be coupled with ice cream cones and I’m trying to lose weight for the big day 😉

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that for my devotional I have been reading Adorned by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth and it is an absolutely fantastic read. Oh, one more bookish fun-fact. Finale by Stephanie Garber came out yesterday and I am so excited to dive into it!

If we were having coffee… I would ask you this question:

What is one thing in life you are looking forward to right now?

Now answer the question, seriously let me know in the comments!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and having coffee with me!

  • I’m just going to come out and say this post made me tear up! I just realized I’ve been so busy of late that its been over 5 months since I’ve gone and sat down with friends and just had coffee and shot the breeze so to speak. I think this is a beautiful and almost poetic post and even though we have never met I would just like to say you made a difference in my day! Sooo.. the coffee was great! I hope you have a wonderful week and good luck with all these things you have going on!

    • Thank you so much for your comment & for sharing!! <3
