Years in the making, Sarah J. Maas’s #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an epic, unforgettable conclusion. Aelin Galathynius’s journey from slave to king’s assassin to the queen of a once-great kingdom reaches its heart-rending finale as war erupts across her world. . .

Aelin has risked everything to save her people―but at a tremendous cost. Locked within an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must draw upon her fiery will as she endures months of torture. Aware that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, though her resolve begins to unravel with each passing day…

With Aelin captured, Aedion and Lysandra remain the last line of defense to protect Terrasen from utter destruction. Yet they soon realize that the many allies they’ve gathered to battle Erawan’s hordes might not be enough to save them. Scattered across the continent and racing against time, Chaol, Manon, and Dorian are forced to forge their own paths to meet their fates. Hanging in the balance is any hope of salvation―and a better world.

And across the sea, his companions unwavering beside him, Rowan hunts to find his captured wife and queen―before she is lost to him forever.

As the threads of fate weave together at last, all must fight, if they are to have a chance at a future. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever in the explosive final chapter of the Throne of Glass series.

MY REVIEW OF Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass Series #7):

Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass Series #7)

Let me start off by saying, that I was at first worried about the yellow cover and how it would look with the rest of the series, but in person it is definitely more gold and I LOVE it.
This book was absolutely incredible! This was by far one of my favorite reads of this year, if not my absolute favorite read of the year.

Sarah J. Maas was able to pull characters and  wrap-up loose ends from all of the books in this series.

When I was reading this book, I literally felt so many emotions. And I sobbed for the last 100 pages of this book.

I am so sad that this series is coming to an end. The characters within this series are some of my favorite characters and it’s sad to think that I will have to re-read the series if I want to read about them again.

Obviously this book and this series is not perfect (the romance writing is cringe-worthy at best) but you cannot tell me that Sarah J. Maas is not a good writer. I have loved her fierce female characters, and will more than likely continue to buy whatever book she writes next.

I just want to take the time to mention some of my favorite parts of this book:

“Once upon a time, in a land long since burned to ash, there lived a young princess who loved her kingdom …”

Fenry’s and Aelin’s silent language while they are both suffering. When he broke the blood oath to Maeve. Aelin not knowing what is real and what isn’t real. When she loses all of her scars.

The whole scene when Chaol and Dorian are reunited and Chaol introduces him to Yrene, his wife. Swoon.

Aedion and Lysandra and their refusal to not fight in the war.

Evangeline. And melting Darrow’s heart.

Aelin and Dorian losing their depths of magic.

A Queen of Witches with a crown of stars.

All the people who show up for Aelin and fight on behalf of her.

The thirteen. I was sobbing!!

“Nameless is my price.”

Dorian being named after his father!!!!

And it was all for a new world. A better world.

“Be the bridge, be the light. When iron melts, when flowers spring from fields of blood—let the land be witness, and return home.”

Elide racing to Lorcan Lochan.

Also Lorcan Lochan.

I am still laughing!

If you haven’t read the Throne of Glass series, it is one that I HIGHLY recommend!

Warning: There is some adult content within the books, that gets quite graphic, so keep your blinders on for it. The content is general chunked in the same areas so it is easy to skip.
