With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza—but who knows what they’ll find seven months after the invasion?

Meanwhile, Kady’s cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza’s ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys—an old flame from Asha’s past—reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict.

With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heroes will fall, and hearts will be broken.

MY REVIEW OF Obsidio:

This is the thrilling end to the Illuminae Files. This book was definitely my favorite out of the three, as it took all of the stories and intertwined them together in a beautiful way. With action, humor, romance, there is not a whole lot that this book lacks.

Clocking in at a massive 615 pages, it does seem like a daunting book, but the way the book is written, along with the awesome illustrations it only took me three days to read.

This book is set in space just like the other two in the series. One of the reasons why I enjoyed this series so much is because it’s hard to compare it to any other series or books that I have ever read and that is valuable! It’s one of a kind and its beautifully written.

This book pulls off some feats that a lot of well-written authors wouldn’t be able to do. With simultaneous stories, the authors often switch back and forth between both storylines, and they do it in a way that isn’t confusing at all.

I love the cover of this book, I love the illustrations in the book.

Two new (main) characters are introduced in this book and they add such an interesting piece to the puzzle.

This book will make you sad, frustrated, happy, and it will make you laugh. If a book makes me feel all of those emotions, it was a job well-done.

If you enjoy young adult science fiction with a lot of action, then this book is definitely for you!

Thanks for stopping by and reading this book review!
