SNYOPSIS FROM GOODREADS:
The spellbinding first installment of Taralynn Moore’s KING series.
Bria has no idea her life is a carefully woven tapestry of design and predestination. Until a helicopter, a quiet beach cove, and the pull of piano chords usher in the unraveling of her world.
His music sparked her spirit, long before she knew him, before she knew herself. Now, with love and lives on the line, they can’t escape their fated connection or the family company that owns them and their hearts.
Jon has been her constant companion. Her rock. Her anchor. But when the perfect outcome of their parental set-up turns out to be a cover, her protected existence begins to fall apart, and so does their relationship and its foundation of necessary lies.
All three must unite, must fight, for family, for freedom, with a bond so strong even torn hearts can’t tear them apart.
Let sweeping descriptions, heated action scenes, and quiet romantic moments keep you on a pinwheel of emotions you won’t soon forget.
And don’t miss King Abdication, the riveting second book in the KING series releasing fall of 2019!

MY REVIEW OF Unveiled King:
I received an e-ARC of this book through Netgalley. Receiving a copy of this book did not sway my review in any way. All opinions are my own.
I started off this book slightly annoyed thinking that it was just going to be another flimsy romance, filled with insta-love, without a plot or any interesting characters, and boy, was I wrong.
Young Adult – Science Fiction – Romance
With my initial reaction of the beginning of this book, I didn’t have high hopes for it, but the characters, the plot, the descriptions were all well-crafted and read beautifully.
Taralynn Moore, the author of King Unveiled, states in her Goodreads biography: “Her work often reflects a glossy and cinematic feel, with interwoven story lines, and hints of mystery.”
There isn’t a better way to express how this book read, it was so enriched with just the right amount of descriptions, that it was as if I was watching a movie unfold from the pages of the book. (Also, small side note, someone please make this book a movie. It would be excellent.)
There is a romantic love triangle in this book and a lot of kissing. It is what I would consider a slow-burn book, because it takes a LONG while to slowly start to uncover all of the layers of the plot (which is arguably, not necessarily a bad thing). If you aren’t a fan of characters who can’t make up their mind, then this book will more than likely annoy you, but it is entertaining to say the least (in my opinion).
I also really enjoyed the added element of science fiction – and the secrecy behind the King Company. I don’t want to give away too many spoilers.
When the author, Taralynn Moore, was asked where she got the idea for King Unveiled, she said, “The story of King David of Israel and Jon, the son of King Saul, was my starting point for two men who were able to bond so strongly they could put the needs of their people above their own desire for power. Above their natural instincts of jealousy and competition. In my version of KING, instead of a throne, the two volley for the heart of Bria King and control of her grandfather’s company.”
This puts such an interesting twist on the story and I think it was expertly executed.
I am so excited for the sequel of this book King Abdication coming sometime fall of 2019!
