If We Were Having Coffee {April Edition}

If We Were Having Coffee {April Edition}

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I absolutely adore writing these posts and I have gotten so much positive feedback from readers, saying that they love reading them.

So let’s dive right in, shall we?

If We Were Having Coffee… I would probably be drinking a caramel machiatto from Starbucks, but I would ask for half  the pumps of syrup that they add. What would you be drinking?

If We Were Having Coffee… I probably wouldn’t be able to stop myself from mentioning how wonderful the weather has been and how EXCITED I am for summer, even though I am doing the adult-thing and working every single day.

If We Were Having Coffee… I would tell you that wedding planning is progressing nicely. We have booked all of our major items from our checklist.

The church and venue for the reception is booked.

Our honeymoon is booked – we are going on a cruise to the Caribbean and I couldn’t be more excited about the two entire weeks of vacay in the sun!

I finally figured out what we are doing for some of the little details like, wedding favors and invitations.

If We Were Having Coffee… I would probably spend the bulk of the time talking about my wedding. I hope you are okay with that! Only 108 more days.

If We Were Having Coffee… I would tell you that I am VERY excited for everything happening in the next few weeks.

This Friday is Good Friday and we will be having our Communion service at church, followed by a Love Feast with our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is a beautiful time of worship, and I usually cry.

On Saturday, I plan on doing some shopping and I hope to find an Easter dress that won’t break the bank, because I’ve been working really hard to stay under budget for the wedding.

Sunday is Easter, which our church calls Resurrection Sunday, which is a much more accurate name for what took place after Jesus was crucified on the cross for our sins.

The following weekend, Trey and I will be having our engagement shoot and then we are GOING TO SEE AVENGER’S ENDGAME. And boy am I excited.

So yes, the next week and a half should be rather exciting.

If We Were Having Coffee… I would tell you that I FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT OF MY NOVEL!!! It currently stands at around 78,000 words, but I have a lot of revisions and re-writes to do to make it all make sense. I don’t plan on querying it for quite some time. But it is still very exciting as I have never actually finished a draft before.

If We Were Having Coffee… I would tell you that I stopped eating sugar for a week and I lost 3 more pesky pounds, that put my total weight loss (from my heaviest weight) at 20 pounds, which is good progress, but I still have a while to go. Ultimately I would like to lose 30+ more pounds.

Here comes the temptation of all the yummy Easter food, and candy. Ugh!

If We Were Having Coffee… I would tell you that I have been running every single night after work and I can feel my body getting stronger and I am starting to enjoy it a lot more than I used to. I still run relatively slow, but I am getting faster.

If We Were Having Coffee… I would ask how you are? How’s life? Are you going through a valley? Is there anything you want me to specifically pray for?

Seriously, if you have prayer requests, let me know in the comments below! I would love to pray for you.

I would ask if you have read any good books or watched any good movies or TV shows recently? I would ask if you are excited for the warm weather?

I hope you enjoyed this chatty life update, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Have a wonderful day!

xoxo

  • I would love to have coffee with you and hear about your wedding planning. It sounds like you are rocking life all around Sarah! Way to go running every day. That’s quite a feat. This warm weather is aweome. Tis the season for Game of Thrones. I started reading The History of the Future by Blake Harris.

    • Lily! Your comment absolutely made my day! I would love to have coffee with you too! 🙂 I’m one of those people that has never watched Game of Thrones because I’m always so busy, but maybe once the wedding craziness is over, I will have time to start!
