If We Were Having Coffee {Blogtober Edition 1}

Welcome to (1)

Blogtober Day 7

I wanted today’s blog post to be warm and cozy, because the fall weather has officially hit in Ohio. I am loving the cooler temps but today is a bit dreary, so something warm & cozy is surely the cure.

If you aren’t familiar with this blog series, it is something that I have seen several other bloggers doing, and it sadly not something I can claim as my own idea (even if I wish I could).

If you want to check out my other If We Were Having Coffee Series, I will link them all at the bottom of this post.

But without further ado, let’s get chatty! What are you waiting for? Go get your steamy beverage of choice. Today I opted to go with a green tea instead of a coffee because I am doing a no-sugar week (where I will attempt to eat no sugar, or in the very least cut WAY back on the amount of sweets). I don’t fancy black coffee, so I chose a minty green tea, and it’s doing the trick this morning.

For the sake of old times, I will act like I am drinking coffee ๐Ÿ™‚

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would tell you that my birthday is right around the corner. Trey & I will probably go to the cheesecake factory for some delicious cheesecake.

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would tell you that Blogtober has been the perfect jump-start into getting back into blogging and writing steadily. I even pulled out my current WIP (work in process) and started some edits.

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would tell you that even though I love my handwriting – writing thank you notes for wedding gifts, has become quite the chore – and I just need to suck it up and finish it!! Ugh..

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would tell you that I LOVE being a house-owner. I love coming home to my own space everyday. I even love cleaning (don’t tell Trey though, he might take advantage of that fact ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). I love dreaming about how to re-design a space, and I love the creative freedom of being able to do/ re-construct whatever I want within the confines of our budget,

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would tell you that we are well on our way to being debt free next year around this time. The debt-free journey is definitely going to be a little painful, as we want to spend money on making the house, the way we want it, but we are motivated to hit our goal and be debt free!

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would ask you what you’ve been up to? I would ask you how you are doing, and I wouldn’t let you just tell me a one-word answer. I would ask you what kind of goals you have for the last quarter of 2019, and if you are motivated to finish the year strong?

If Were Having Coffee.. I would ask you if there is anything I can pray about for you?

If We Were Having Coffee.. I would tell you that I am really excited for the upcoming chapters and changes that married life would bring, but I would also tell you that I am praying for joy & contentment in the present – in the now. Right now, I am trying to soak in life as a newlywed, and not try to wish the time away.

Thank so much for stopping by & having coffee with me, let’s do it again soon, ok? ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by & reading this blog post – I will see you tomorrow for Day 8 of Blogtober!

I hope you will join me for all 31 days! I will be using the hashtag #Blogtober on Instagram & Twitter.

  • Happy almost birthday! Wish I could celebrate at the Cheesecake Factory with you. I love that place.
I totally agree. Blogtober has been great for blog motivation. I’m loving the Blogtober community and how active everyone is!

    • I love the Cheesecake Factory as well, but its a good 40 minute drive from where I live, so we rarely go! What is your favorite cheesecake? ๐Ÿ™‚
Thanks SO much for reading & commenting!!

      • Oh man, my favorite cheesecake? I think I’d have to go with Oero. Although, my husband learned how to make cheesecakes. Last year he made one with a pumpkin top and gingersnap cookie crust. Delicious!
